Since leaving work several years ago
I've discovered so much the Universe has to offer
and walked around and around in circles
trying to figure out who I am & what I'm supposed to do
I started missing the confidence & strength of Career Me
As I annoyingly put up with Seeker Me
I could feel the answers at the perimeter of my questions
But they bottle-necked as they all tried entering my brain at the same time
Or I was just too blind to see them
Easy to do when my eyes are closed
It was in the process of doing a master to do list
the one where you write every single thing you think you need to do
that it came to me
so damned simple that I felt like a fool
I've been looking at this all wrong
I was compartmentalizing myself
Career Me. Seeker Me. Plus all the other Me(s)
When the reality is they are all a part of me that create the whole me
I know. I know. You're saying 'well duh'
But when you've got your eyes closed (like me)
You can't see it
Until you open your eyes
So here's my lesson
Find the thing you're really good at
Apply similar skills to the things you want to get good at
Pat every fear on the back & sing "Everything's gonna be alright..." ala Bob Marley
and most importantly
that I won't learn the lesson until I'm willing to see the lesson

(By the way, I don't have to put a disclaimer here that says this is my lesson, right?
I don't have to say I don't think I know everything & I'm not trying to tell you what to do, right?
I know you're all smarter than that...)

You are so bloody brilliant! And thanks for your faith in me, the reader. Nope. You don't have to disclaim. I am smarter than that! ;)
