Ok, I have to admit it
I'm having fun with Madame Styx
finally letting her out of the dark where I had her locked away
She now has free reign in her own digs over at
MadameStyx.com and https://www.facebook.com/madamestyx
(see how I snuck those in?)
What I didn't count on was how EXPOSED I feel having her out there
Like standing-in-middle-of-highway-in-underwear-during-rushhour-picking-nose exposed
I've also discovered that she is so much better than I am
She seems confident, wise and loving
She tries to see the good or lessons in everything
And she has a way of gently telling me to hush when she's tumbling onto the page
and I'm telling her she's full of baloney
and that she's wrong, nobody cares or whatever other negative thing I can toss at her
(I wonder if this is how split personalities develop?)
But I've also discovered a good thing
That during crazy life patches she pops into my head
either making me laugh or giving me another perspective
I've warned my family that they should be very careful what they do or say
if they don't want to see themselves over in the Madame's kingdom
So after a battle of wills with The Kid this morning
As I drove grinding down my molars reminding myself how much I love him regardless
the Madame presented this image in my head
and all was good
I promise I won't be posting many of the Styx here
but I had to share this one
because each year I print my blog
and The Kid doesn't know it yet but
I'm leaving him the printed My Quest in my will
so much better than money (heehee)
and one day he can read this as he sits in his fishing boat and remember
Kid, it doesn't matter what you think, do, or say
Your Mama loves you no matter what

I l♡ve that she is finally free! And as far as feeling exposed? Nah! (cute undies by the way ~ wink wink).
ReplyDeleteall I can say is I hope my mom felt the same about me.
