I believe we are blessed with a precious gift
of taking a break from looking out upon the world
and being able to look back into ourselves
That when we do so
Amazing things begin to happen
Our essence begins to unfurl
Magical things begin to happen
As we discover the miracle of who we are
We begin to appreciate and marvel at the miracles surrounding us
And we look out upon the world
And discover a different kind of beauty
One that goes deeper than what can be seen with our physical eyes
A world that is perfectly imperfect
Whose ebbs and flows consistently offer the opportunity for continued growth and learning

So my son asked me a simple question
That was more of a statement
And it grabbed at my brain and has refused to let go
My curiosity peaked and I had to put it out there
I've been emailing and sharing it on Facebook
have gathered several responses that has the Seeker Me
feeling like a kid in a candy store
So please indulge me and answer the question
"What's it
all for?
You go to a school you'll hate for four years, graduate,
go
for another four years, graduate,
get a job you'll probably hate, go
home, then start again..."
And if you can share with others either via blog or Facebook (here)

I'd really like to know what they think too

At the most crass level, it's to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do. It's the way of the world unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteElena - You already answered the question for yourself in the beautiful images and your powerful words. It's all for the unfolding of your awareness and appreciation of the beauty of life. You already knew the answer! Like a fish asking it's mother, "What is water?"
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is not for a waste, u go to school, to discover something u love, which u otherwise would not know, also u meet people some of whom become friends u shall cherish for the rest of your lives. others will leave u with lessons equally important, the same applies for everything that happens, everything that u do, all these experiences are what makes this life a beautiful journey, it's upto us how fully we want to live our life :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I believe this life and this world around us is a beautiful gift given to us. If you appreciate what you have whether it's more or less than the next guy, and try to live a good life, you have the key. What's it all for? It makes the hard times easier to get through. There are so many good things in this world, it just takes some people longer to get it right. Live life, love nature, and it's just the makings for a good life. You say it beautifully, Elena.
