When the Doc was in my skull
he should have clipped the part connected to the
'little voice'
The 'little voice' isn't the same as hearing voices in your head
No. NO, it is not. Teehee
The 'little voice' is that mean annoying yapping that sounds
like nails across a chalkboard
And I have discovered that it wasn't affected by the surgery
Unlike my head and eye, it is awake and causing mayhem
It tells me...'you are a foolish woman'
I ignore it so it becomes more insistent
'you are a foolish woman, you know'
I start to wonder so it goes on
'you are foolish, useless, good at nothing...'
I start denying but wonder...
excited by my attention it adds examples
Confronted by such examples
I feel horrible wondering if God made a mistake
perhaps I was supposed to die that day
I attempt to cry
(because I don't want to be useless after all)
But all I manage is scrunching one eye and part of my forehead
My other eye won't scrunch...nor part of my forehead
(does that happen to people with plastic surgery?)
And I have no tears...my tear ducts aren't working yet
Which makes me laugh
Because I can only imagine what I must look like
Half scrunched for no reason
Which makes me laugh more
And I discover that laughter makes the 'little voice' go away
Perhaps I should just go around laughing
But maniacal laughter might be another problem
bwah-ha-ha
Hmmm, I am wondering is crying with no tears isn't just as important as crying with a lot of moisture. Glad tha laughter helped, Beautiful. You are so far from foolish, Dear One. Tell that voice to move on!!!
ReplyDeleteOh your little voice is completely wrong because as they say "God don't make junk." You are lovely, and I am glad you went from crying attempt to laughter.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have such good humor towards your situation. I'm sure it will take you through and make you stronger.
