I wasn't as brave to try and draw something out of my imagination. I panic at the thought. I decided to try and reproduce a photograph by one of my favorite photographers, Adam Jones. I love his scenery and wildlife photographs. Great eye. But I didn't do his photograph justice, thank goodness my mom likes anything I give her! This is my first oil painting - Jan 2009. I haven't painted anything with oils since. Too scared.
If this is your first oil painting then you must keep going. Its wonderful. All my paintings are done from photographs. I get an idea and then I photograph it over and over until I get a composition I'm happy with and then I start.
