Day 1 - My Special Day

Voodoo-Mama-JuJu, Witchy-poo, Gypsy Mexi-Ma

Those are the names my family affectionately calls me nowadays

I love it

Because it means I'm on the right path

Because while they call me these names

They are smiling and encouraging me

And unlike my sister-in-law who thinks I'm possessed

They acknowledge that I am more connected spiritually than I ever have been

I'm sorry that you've heard this before

since I post about it often

But you know my love for the numbers 111 and 1111

How they started showing up everywhere

right about the time I started believing in angels

I woke this morning and smiled

11/1/11

I started my Morning Pages by saying how I felt like a failure

I had hoped to have 11 creations by today

And my writing instead became encouraging;

saying they weren't as important as starting with 1

One step, just one, leads to another

One; a beginning

I wrote about trusting in my guidance

About how often I see 111 and 1111

and how they are like trail markers for me

my angels' way of saying I'm not lost in the fog

keep taking one step; trust, have faith

An odd thing popped into my head then

about the number in my name

unsure of what that meant I went with the thought

Assigned numbers to each letter in my name according to the alphabet

My first name equaled 37 added together is 10 down to a single digit 1

Curious I did my last name

It equaled 37 as well down to a single digit 1

Another trail marker

Smiling I finished my morning pages and checked email

I enjoy looking at my dear friend Laura's Tack Down Tuesdays

where she offers her art for sale

And I found this

Inspired by the Inuit tribe's Inuksuk (or Inukshuk)

Monuments made of stones used for communication and survival

The traditional meaning of the stacked stones is 

"You are on the right path" 

I saw Faith emphasizing my Morning Page's message

and later I saw the numbers

10 29

which of course in my peanut brain translated to

1 11

(sure it can be 1 and 2 but nah I like my version better)

Yep 11/1/11 can be any other day

Meaning nothing other than the 1st of November

I can check the number's meaning book and find out that it says to

stay positive, trust, believe...

but I like the simplistic nature of today's message

Because in reality it's all we ever have

We can start from this moment on
