Boy was I ever humbled by the birthday love received from y'all
Thank you so very much
I want to share something
(excuse the poor phone camera quality through dirty windshield heehee)
What do you see?
A road? Powerlines? Corn?
Dirty windshield? Ticks? Nothing?
Here's what I see
A reminder from Nature
Elena,
No matter if it feels you are heading nowhere
that you've fallen flat and the world is passing you by
it's just an illusion; something the ego likes to manipulate with
you continue moving down your path
learning, growing, cultivating, sowing
you reach a time of harvest
it does not signify the end but rather a time to amass the fruits of labor
followed by rest, new preparations
tilling, planting, harvesting
learning, growing
cycles of life
always with new results; each yielding just a bit more of something
each one fertilizing the base for what's to come
~
And that's what I see when I'm driving
And notice the combines begin to gather near the fields
Smell the warm muskiness of the earth that says it's ready
And notice that I've been cleaning, sorting, filing the mess in the studio
Not quite ignoring the feelings of anticipation that something is coming
And notice the combines begin to gather near the fields
Smell the warm muskiness of the earth that says it's ready
And notice that I've been cleaning, sorting, filing the mess in the studio
Not quite ignoring the feelings of anticipation that something is coming
Dramatic, no?
I tried to warn you yesterday
I tried to warn you yesterday
hee hee
(By the way, I had to laugh when my hubby brought in my cake apologizing for not finding the candles. He had one in the shape of a 3. I thought it quite appropriate)

Beautiful post Elena!! What I see are infinite possibilities!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDriving in the country is always a great time for reflection, I find. All those miles through the rural landscape and nothing to do but think (if you're on your own).
ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot! Love the colors. Almost looks like the polaroids I took this weekend. They're posted on my blog. You really should take a peek. ;)
ReplyDeleteLoving the new header!!!! What fun! Very creative.

ReplyDeleteI saw the road. Stretching out far in front of me with possibility. Made me take a deep breath and think "I better go put on some comfortable walking shoes." ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove that your hubby brought the 3 candle to you !!! Love !

ReplyDeleteNature is very important to me.
