I could start by beating myself up for not spending time in the studio
Saying I was lazy or too scared to do so
But if I look back I realize I was creative in other ways
And dragged those around me into my play
My hubby's cousin expressed an interest in drawing
So I sent her home with sketch pad & pencil
My old boss came by and expressed an interest
So he got a crash course in collage
My son and I had egg decorating duties
And we did so willingly
And then the search began
With the Easter bunny having no mercy
As eggs were underground, and in cars, and in seats
And once they were all found, it was time to unscramble the letters
To find where the basket was hidden
And a box of sidewalk chalk provide endless hours of fun
For all of us
Including the dog who thought a swirl looked like an area rug
And the perfect place for a nap
I decided to outline her in chalk
Too bad I didn't have Crime Scene tape
It would have been just perfect
So, creativity is everywhere, you just have to look

Loved your post!
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking I m *uncreative* because I have not produced art, but as I look back at all the things I have done, from baking to photos to just being in the moment.....maybe creativity needs a broader definition.
I am hoping my muse will return from her unscheduled and unrequested vacation, but if not, it's good down time to rest and get caught up!
And I love the colors on the eggs!
Have a great week!
XXOO!!

You may not be creating the way that you think you "should" but, you are inspiring everyone around you and that is so cool!!! And how did you make those beautiful eggs???? I decorated eggs alone this year---I did it with my mom and son until he was about 16 and lost interest. Then my mom and I continued. She would boil like 6 dozen eggs and we'd do them ALL!! I was tempted to skip it this year but decided to do them in her honor. And I did have fun--It was just a little lonely. If my @#$%&#@$ computer would let me post pictures I would! Harrumph!
