Ever have moments where it seems something stands out and is meant just for you?

I was wandering among the booths in the Santa Fe plaza's craft fair, not looking for anything in particular because I had told my guidance that I would let them take the reigns on this trip. So as I passed artist Paula Best's booth it was like a "there, stop" moment. So I backed up and walked up to a large painting with these words:
"When you come to the edge of all the light you have
and must take a step into the darkness of the unknown
either there will be something solid for you to stand on or you will fly"
I showed my cousin and said, whoa I sure hope that's accurate because I think I'm about to be pushed off a cliff and really don't feel like going splat. I experienced one of those moments where I really wanted the piece because of the words but didn't think I could afford it. I turned around and found the last print card with the same words. My cousin pointed out another card which had just caught my eye:
"You gain strength courage and confidence by every experience
in which you really stop to look fear in the face
you must do the thing which you think you cannot do"

It all made perfect sense by the end of my trip

ReplyDeleteWhat a neat experience. Love the quote that spoke to you and made you stop. That's one I'll have to remember for sure.
Once you face your fears you find out they are only paper thin...that was a saying I found somewhere and live by...great posts lady and it really sounds like you had a wonderful experience.
