Remember this statement from the previous post?
"The image of the feathers is no longer in my head"
And it's not
But the little 'messenger' that joined our family yesterday
And helped me understand the significance of living large
has vanished
Yep
Vanished
We woke up, looked in the bowl, and nothing
We took out everything piece by piece
Looked on the table and floor
And he's gone
We're assuming he jumped out
And the puppy found him
Hubby remembers Sparky running outside at 3 a.m.
To bury something in the yard
And then rolled on her back over the little mound
So what did I learn in addition to the previous lesson?
I'm not here forever
So I better get a move on living large now
Or maybe the lesson is
don't jump too high
Lest ye be eaten
Or slobbered and buried alive
Oh oh. Poor fishy. Does the dog have sushi breath?
ReplyDeleteI´m trying to remember now, was it a fighting fish? Maybe its partly to do with people who look tough and yet underneath they are quivering wrecks. Of course there was the greater message to that you spoke about, but once the message has been received............
ReplyDeleteOh nooooo! I've had many a fish bowl go miraculously empty. No clue what happens. Perhaps they reincarnate quicker when they pass? tee hee hee!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I had to comment too because my son said "jeez Ma maybe 'Homer's' job was to teach you that lesson and left once his task was completed" "Or maybe he never existed" as he smirks. Doesn't my kid know half the time I have the unsettling feeling I'm in a dream? And he goes and says that. I KNOW we had that fish.
ReplyDeleteFISH???
ReplyDeleteWhat fish????
heeheehee......jumping fish + inquisitive puppy = empty fishbowl.
But you got the lesson.....
XXOO~~♥
Anne
So, do you get another one?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this insight! I really feel like the world slobbers or even barfs on me sometimes, and I don't mean negatively, I mean sometimes so much happens it is overwhelming. Sounds like what happened to your fish.
ReplyDeleteohhhhhh nooooo.....
