I'm a planner.
Needing to plan every step.
Checking the details once, twice, a dozen times.
But when my son saw me mindlessly sketching
A faceless head in a cage
With raised eyebrow he said "I'm not even gonna ask"
And I looked down with a "yikes"
Loading the son and dog in the car
30 minutes later we were on the run
Sensing I needed the lake
We ended up in Michigan
With a mile hike over the sand dunes
Just when I thought I would die from the exercise and heat
We found ourselves standing at the top of a very steep hill
Looking down at the blue water below
We spent the whole day on this nearly deserted piece of heaven
Laughing within minutes I felt recharged
Deciding we'd come back the next day
We found a cheap hotel
We spent another day playing under the sun
Being cleansed by the wind and water
I built a labrynth
And walked the spiral in prayer
And here's what I learned
If you dig, you will find what you seek
Ask for it, and it will be revealed
For treasures come it different forms

And when you feel like you can't go another step
And you want to give up ~
That's the moment your prayer is about to be answered
And it's up to you
If you give up
Or take another step
And that's when I discovered my freedom
