Soul Searching

I've been reading through blogland lately and found that perhaps I owe you an apology. In my quest to create, recreate, find, myself - I have subjected you to my doom & gloom. Sure it's been therapeutic for me but I must remember that others are reading. Perhaps I'm being too open or blunt. Nobody needs to be brought down; especially by a stranger.

And a couple times when a fellow blogger asked why nobody was commenting on her posts I remember thinking well maybe you should take time to comment on others' posts too. It's a give and take; we learn from each other. Then I realized that perhaps I can understand. You open up and share and don't know if you're talking to yourself. And then I thought well I didn't start blogging with that intention in mind. I just wanted to blurt out what was in my head and hopefully find my way. Imagine my surprise when people started tagging along on the journey and sharing their wisdom. And I was bothered by my feelings to keep being open and autonomous and this strange new desire to make connections.

So I have some thinking to do. About recreating how I post on my blog, whether I'll continue the blog, or just keep going. But for now I want to thank those of you who have been so kind as to take the time to post comments and remind me that I'm not alone in these ramblings. For now, I'm retreating back to my winter den to do some thinking.

  1. I wish you the very best, no matter what you decide to do, dearest Elena. If you choose to blog, your blog should be what you need it to be. Not everyone is blogging to collect followers and comments. Many, at one time or another, are finding that writing more personal posts on a blog can help them work some things out. It seems your blog has done that for you, in one way or another.

From what I've seen, many blogs and bloggers change their focus and their purpose over time. You are definitely not alone. You are growing.

I wish you well. But most of all I wish you peace of mind.

    Hugs and love,
    xo

  2. no worries....
blogging is on online journal and those who want to read and comment, will and those who don't, won't....

but don't apologize for sharing what's been in your heart and on your mind....those are all for you and now they are written out, which often makes it easier for us to go back....months from now....to see what was going on and how we were feeling....

just be you and do what feels right....that's the most important thing !

  3. When wandering around in blog land be careful not to compare yourself... we form our tribe of people need along the way some stay some go and sometime we must go.. but alway be true to yourself and take you with when you start the wandering around... for me that's a dangerous place to be in.. you will be missed if you stop but we will still come and look now and then.. I hope that how this came about wasn't because of a response from some one else... remember there's a lot of wet blankets out there...

  5. I am with Laura on this one. While you are in your den, I hope you learn the why for this change. If it is self-generated, then go for it. If it is brought about by something someone said or hinted at, please ignore that voice. Your writings and photographs have been such a joy for us, even on the deep days. I would really miss your posts. That being said, you are doing a wonderful job of really getting to know yourself and your ,and whatever you are guided to do will be the right thing for you.
