We had such an amazing snow storm the other night.
The winds whistled and howled
The trees danced and bowed back and forth
The falling snow caught in frantic dance swirls
And then the party really started
With flashes of lightning that gave me glimpses
of the scene beyond my window
And rolling thunder that tried to keep beat to the merriment
It reminded me of the thrill at my first concert
Where every sense is heightened
And every cell in my body reacts to the scene before me
I said a little prayer for the safety of everyone caught outside
And then sat back to enjoy the show
Did I say it was AWESOME!
that is, until yesterday
when we had to clean up after the party
Your writing is so killer!
ReplyDelete...and I was feeling your clean-up pain. Literally!!!
Oh the stories that will be told later..we are all part of this history making year...
ReplyDeleteIt was awesome!! Tuesday afternoon I walked out of the Center after a luncheon and I had the strangest feeling!! It was almost like the hair on the back of my neck wanted to stand up. I just thought,"Something unusual is going on here!!".
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are one of the people who enjoy storms! I guess you are enjoying this winter a lot.
ReplyDeleteYeah, yeah......it was a whole lot BETTER after I opened a bottle of wine and put together a cheese, pesto and other tidbits plate and sat in the family room, slowing adding *anti-freeze* to my body!!! hahaha!!!!
ReplyDeleteOf course, yesterday was a trip trying to run machinery and stand straight and BREATHE......and SEE.
I understand the words *snow blind* now.......oy....
XXOO~~♥

So what are the pictures of that you posted yesterday?
ReplyDeleteSo glad all were safe and that you enjoyed the show. It's all about choice, right ?
ReplyDelete(But the cleanup, not much choice there if you want to be able to enjoy th enext show...;)
this might be the one thing you and i disagree on :)
ReplyDeletesnow is not awesome !!
I do like the snow, it is beautiful. I do not like the fact that expectations were made to dig out in one day. I deserve a snow day off to make some angels.
